Dying Light 2 will incorporate Denuvo Anti-Tamper tech

Dying Light 2, the long-awaited zombie and parkour phenomenon has just updated its Steam store page claiming that it will adopt the notorious Denuvo Anti-Tamper Tech. It looks like Dying Light 2 will be using a new version of Denuvo. While its executable file is only 2MB in size, there’s also another DLL about 500 MB, which has never happened before for games powered by this protection system.

Techland has updated the Steam store page of Dying Light 2, revealing that it will be using anti-tamper tech. And since we already have access to this game and can confirm its use via an early copy provided by Techland ourselves, there’s no doubt about it either!

The store now claims that the game Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper. The story-driven open-world action RPG may notice a negative impact on performance due to this addition. Most of the games using this tech have been claimed as less appealing due to performance issues, but considering it’s a new Denuvo protection system, we have to see what happens.

The virus won, and civilization has fallen back to the Dark Ages. The City, one of the last human settlements, is on the brink of collapse. Use your agility and combat skills to survive, and reshape the world. Your choices matter.

With Ray Tracing effects enabled, Dying Light 2 will support both NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR. The game launches on February 4, 2022.
