Techland has just released a fresh update for Dying Light 2 that’s bound to change how you move through the city. Patch 1.077, also known as version 1.24, introduces unlimited parkour by removing stamina costs from most parkour moves. This means you can now escape or engage in combat without worrying about running out of stamina—well, except for Dash and Dart skills.
Players on consoles will see this update as 1.077/1.77, and it applies to all platforms with the same fixes and improvements. The stamina system got a serious overhaul aimed at smoothing out combat and evasion. You won’t have to stop and catch your breath mid-parkour anymore, which should make the gameplay feel a lot more fluid.
Of course, some stamina restrictions remain in place to keep mission progression intact. For example, parkour still costs stamina during the “Pilgrim’s Path” quest, and stamina is still essential for combat, underwater swimming, and using the paraglider. It looks like Techland wants to keep a balance between free movement and gameplay challenge.

- The Squasher: A hammer that hits harder the more stamina you use on swings.
- Lil Globby: A plushie that says “I love you” before exploding with a bigger blast radius than normal grenades.
- Playtime Paraglider: Turns the sky into your playground with smooth controls.
- Penny Pusher Token: Adds a pushback effect to your weapon to keep enemies at bay.
For those waiting on Dying Light: The Beast, the standalone game got delayed from August to September 19. So yeah, that’s a bummer but gives the devs some breathing room.

What do you think about unlimited parkour? Too much freedom or just what the game needed? I’m kinda digging the change, but it’ll be interesting to see if it messes with the game’s tension at all. speak yourself in the comments below!
