Techland released Dying Light 2 update 1.89 on February 26 across all platforms, and the studio launched Quarantine Zone Broadcast Week 3 as the final week of the Outbreak event.
What Week 3 does and what remains active
The new broadcast moves the event into containment’s endgame and keeps the same relief measures that have been active during the Outbreak. Techland also published a Week 2 status report that notes progress in the city.
Ongoing relief measures and event bonuses for the week include:
- 25% discount in all shops
- 50% discount on ammo from Jai
- Outbreak Biters and Virals continue to drop weapons in loot
- 50% XP bonus remains active
Techland authorized a citywide stamina directive for the week to help runners and fighters keep moving. The directive applies the following changes to stamina mechanics:
- 2x Stamina Regeneration
- 2x reduced Stamina Consumption on Power Attack
New outbreak activity has been confirmed at three locations. The fresh infection fronts are Quarry End, Garrison, and East Borough. Players are advised to stay mobile and well supplied since cleared areas may not remain safe.
The update is described in Techland’s event notes as a minor patch and the studio has not published a broader gameplay changelog for 1.89/1.089. This continues the studio’s pattern of rolling event changes alongside small maintenance updates, following the broader planning Techland has shared in its 11-week content roadmap.
