Dune: Awakening has received a hotfix update, version 1.1.15.0, to address some pesky bugs and stability issues that players have been encountering. If you’re coming back to the harsh deserts soon, this patch is critical, especially if you’ve had trouble reconnecting or lost your ornithopter in strange ways.
The update requires a client-side download, so if it doesn’t kick in automatically, a quick Steam restart should do the trick. Servers are expected to come back online shortly after the update.
Fixes
- Improved client and server stability.
- Resolved an issue where players who disconnected or crashed during respawn on a different map or server faced timeout errors blocking game access.
- Fixed a rare glitch where using vulture mode to cross sector borders in the Deep Desert caused the ornithopter to fall beneath the terrain and become lost.
- Corrected a problem where components sometimes failed to spawn in Deep Desert loot.
- Addressed an exploit that allowed rockets to target players who were out of sight.
These fixes might seem straightforward, but they help with the overall gameplay experience, especially if you’ve ever been frustrated by a crash that locked you out or lost precious loot. Plus, no one wants their ornithopter to disappear into the sand, right?
