Dune: Awakening has received a small but essential hotfix today for the PC version. The 1.2.20.1 update is a client-side download and addresses a handful of stability and progression problems that cropped up around the 1.2.20.0 rollout.
If the download does not appear automatically, restart your Steam client. Servers were taken down briefly to apply the fixes and will be coming back up shortly. For the current list of known issues, players can check the Discord server or the Steam discussion boards.
This hotfix follows the recent 1.2.20.0 Public Test Client patch, which added a base backup tool during testing, and continues to tidy up problems introduced by that update. 1.2.20.0 Public Test Client patch offered tools to help players protect bases from loss.
Patch Notes – 1.2.20.1
- Fixed an issue where contracts that were accepted but not completed before Patch 1.2.20.0 disappeared from the player’s character and needed to be picked up again.
- This was fixed during the Nov. 18 downtime.
- Fixed a server crash in relation to crafting queues.
- The update will cancel the problematic crafting queues that may have caused server crashes. Some of the materials in these queues may visually disappear. We will bring these items back in an upcoming hotfix.
- Fixed an issue where selected worlds were not visible in the Server Browser for some time.
Players who notice missing materials after the queue cancellation should keep an eye on future hotfix notes for the item restoration window. These fixes aim to stop abrupt server failures and to return lost progression without forcing players to rebuild contracts from scratch.
