Dread Delusion, the first-person open world RPG inspired by The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, will arrive on PS5 and PS4 this spring, publisher DreadXP and developer Lovely Hellplace have confirmed. The game originally released on PC in 2024 and it places a strong emphasis on atmosphere and dark fantasy worldbuilding, and it leans on exploration and player choice rather than modern action-RPG trappings.
Gameplay is first-person and open world, where quest decisions can alter the state of the world. Combat remains an option, but dialogue and nonviolent solutions are available for many encounters. The developers cite clear inspiration from The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind in the game’s design and tone. That influence shows up in the game’s emphasis on free-form exploration, unusual factions, and a strange, often uncanny setting.
