Super Limit-Breaking NEO is now available in DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. The DLC adds a new mode, 33 playable characters, four stages, and more episode battles to the fighting game.
The official Steam announcement also confirms that a free update accompanies the expansion. It brings two new gameplay mechanics, three extra stage variants, and a range of other gameplay improvements.
Limit Breaker Journey lets you train a fighter
The main addition is Limit Breaker Journey, a mode where players choose a favorite character and take them through battles against progressively stronger opponents. Victories allow players to improve their fighter’s stats and tailor their growth to a preferred playstyle.
The expansion also adds new episode battles and maps, giving players more ways to use their growing roster.
33 characters join the roster
The new fighters come from several eras of the Dragon Ball franchise. The additions include:
- DRAGON BALL: Mercenary Tao, Grandpa Gohan, General Blue, Ma Junior, Chi-Chi, Demon King Picolo, and Goku (World Tournament).
- DRAGON BALL Z: Mighty Mask, Supreme Kai, Uub (Kid), Zangya, Bardock (Super Saiyan), and Chilled.
- DRAGON BALL GT: Super 17, Vegeta (GT), Trunks (GT), Nuova Shenron (GT), and Hell Fighter 17.
- DRAGON BALL SUPER: Champa, Jaco, Cheelai, and additional characters.
Four stages are included with the expansion, while the accompanying free update adds three more stage variants. The update also introduces two new mechanics that change how battles play out.
With the DLC and free update now available, players can start building a stronger fighter in Limit Breaker Journey or take the new characters into the expanded battle lineup. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.
