PlayStation’s announcement confirmed that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero will receive its Super Limit-Breaking Neo DLC on July 30, 2026. The pack adds around 30 playable characters, a new solo mode, four stages, and more ways to build a fighter.
The game launched in 2024 as the latest entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series after a 17-year gap. It started with more than 180 characters and now features over 200 playable fighters. Super Limit-Breaking Neo will push that roster even further.
Its biggest new feature is Limit Breaker Journey, a solo mode built around training a chosen character. Players will travel across an interactive map, selecting destinations that lead to battles and other events. Encounters award EXP and Battle Arts, giving each run room for different upgrades.
SP can be spent on new abilities and stats, while Battle Arts provide special effects. These include temporary boosts for ki attacks and extra attack power during Sparking mode. Battle Arts come from encounters with specific characters, but the number that can be equipped is limited, so each build will require some thought.

Leveling SP also grants points for six different stats. Players can assign those points to shape their fighter around a preferred playstyle. Later runs can feature special battle conditions, Dragon Ball-collecting events, and tougher opponents that appear after certain requirements are met.
Once a character has been trained, that fighter can be taken into player matches and offline battles. The DLC’s new cast will also bring fresh character interactions into battles, building on one of the game’s existing features.

Super Limit-Breaking Neo adds four stages: Kami’s Palace, Kame House, Bitter Tundra, and Stratosphere, which includes versions set on Earth and Planet Vegeta. The arenas retain the game’s destructible environments, including a version of Kami’s Palace that can be damaged all the way down to the ground.
The DLC will also be accompanied by free updates featuring Sparking Boost and Chain Blast. Mercenary Tao and Grandpa Gohan are among the characters shown ahead of launch, including previews of their Ultimate Blasts.
