Dota 2 has just rolled out patch 7.39c, fixing a bunch of annoying bugs and adding a handy new setting for Rubick players. If you’ve been frustrated by wonky courier behavior or weird spell interactions, this update might just clear things up.
Here’s what the patch tackles:
- Items locked for combining can now be delivered by courier — no more delivery roadblocks.
- Abaddon’s Mist Coil now properly deals self damage when cast on enemies with The Quickening facet. That was a weird one, right?
- Several bugs with armory styles not updating models in demo mode have been fixed. So your cosmetics actually show up as they should.
- When previewing an item in demo mode, changing styles now updates the large preview correctly.
- A new hero-specific quickcast setting for Rubick lets you choose how stolen spells are cast. This might totally change your Rubick plays!
- Ghost Walk’s duration bug when picking up or dropping Aghanim’s Scepter is fixed, so no more weird timing resets.
- Elder Titan can’t abuse alt-casting stomp to stack damage and debuff immunity buffs anymore without casting Astral Spirit.
- Lich’s Level 25 talent “Frost Shield Provides +50 HP Regen” no longer works on units with pip-based health like Undying Tombstone or Shadow Shaman’s wards.
- Exorcism spirits now respect equipped cosmetics properly — your fancy looks won’t disappear mid-battle.
- You can drag items from the courier’s inventory to the stash again, instead of only using the Return Items ability.
- Requesting delivery now shows an error message if the courier is dead. No more silent fails.
- Courier orders no longer persist through death and respawn, meaning fewer accidental deliveries.
- Queen of Pain’s Sonic Wave no longer deals infinite damage or healing on units with very high status resistance. Yikes!
- Units won’t get stuck at 1 HP due to infinite healing effects anymore.
- The “Owned By:” tag won’t appear on items used in fog of war on the dire side only.
- Undying’s level 20 talent now properly spawns Tombstone on death again.
- Activating a watcher now correctly handles situations where two allies decapture the same watcher.
