Dota 2 received the 7.39b patch today, focusing mainly on fixing bugs and improving the game’s stability. This update addresses many client and server crashes, refines the courier’s behavior, and corrects several keybindings and item management issues. While not adding new gameplay features, these fixes smooth out some rough edges that players may have encountered recently.

Notably, this patch resolves problems like crashes related to the new Settings menu and fixes for quick buy item movement. The courier’s functionality has been polished to respect queued orders better and behave more predictably when switching to Auto-Deliver mode. A few hotkey binding glitches have also been corrected, especially for certain heroes’ abilities, such as Centaur Warrunner’s Work Horse and Disruptor’s Electromagnetic Repulsion.

Other changes include fixes to hero-specific bugs—like Bloodseeker’s Bloodrage not bypassing Linken’s Sphere, and issues with Lone Druid’s Spirit Bear purchasing secret shop items. Visual and sound effects for Roshan’s Roar and Book of the Dead were also patched to work correctly. Some abilities and items had unintended effects or animation problems that are now addressed.

Interestingly, the patch reintroduced some missing settings, such as enabling the Query Panel and queued orders on the HUD, which players might have missed. There’s also a new option to disable per-unit hotkeys in custom games, which could help reduce accidental commands during more chaotic matches.

Here’s a detailed list of the fixes and changes included in patch 7.39b:
