Dota 2 Frostivus Event is Out, Fans Disappointed Because of Lack of Content

The community of Dota 2 has stepped up by criticizing Valve on their recent Frostivus event added to the game. It seems like Frostivus lacks a lot of content compared other previously hosted Dota 2 events. The community is becoming bitter and is criticizing Valve on their aims.

On a recently created thread on Reddit, the whole community has expressed their sharp judges against the Frostivus event. It is very rare to see the entire Dota 2 community holding the same page, especially on Reddit. The lack of rewards from Valve is just unacceptable for whenever they release a holiday-related event. More likely, these events usually hold lots of prizes, so players are seemingly disappointed with what Valve brings to the table.

Overall, Dota 2 had a lot of custom game modes who offered more rewards than what Frostivus has to offer. Back in the days, Diretide was extremely popular, and the fans were eager to welcome its release. As the majority of Dota 2’s community thinks, Diretide was very popular before Valve has decided to terminate it down and never re-release it.

We know that there’s some Steam economy because of cosmetics behind all of this, but cutting off events because of that is just unacceptable. Valve should think where they’re heading before a release of a custom game. If the event is not acceptable by the majority of Dota 2 players, it should be terminated no matter what. But, content comes, content goes. Like today, tomorrow as well.

For now, all we receive is a single treasure for winning three games, nothing past that. Shall we get something similar to what Diretide was back in the days? We’ll see, maybe. For now, it’s Valve’s loss, as they’re just feeding the beast who may slap them sooner than later.
