Even if some people say The Division is already a dead game, they’re just talking nonsense at some point. The game evolved in every single perspective. As we witnessed all of the patches since its launch, the answer’s laying down right in front of our eyes. When the developers listen to the community, a game cannot get on a lower level than before. That’s what’s happening with The Division at this very moment. The Developers made whatever they could in their power, and thanks to that, we now have great results and a really bright future of The Division. What patch 1.7 is going to bring is something that we’ve already spoken about, and that’s the Classified Gear Sets.
If you remember back in the days of patch 1.1, and the introduction of the sets that are being affected by the 1.7 update. There will be 6 classified gear sets that will come with the 1.7 update, which should overall contribute to a better and more exciting gameplay.
As we explained before, Classified Gear Sets will offer additional buffs when all six pieces are equipped on a character. So, instead of 3 or 4 gear pieces, you’ll need to equip 5 or 6 in order to unlock all of the bonuses. On behalf of my own, I was trying to point the developers to make such changes so the sets will need the very last piece of them equipped in order to unlock the very last bonus. In this way, the number of encountered broken builds should be lowered which in General should contribute to an overall better gameplay and player experience. There’s finally a good reason why players should stop mixing things up and just commit to their most favorite gear set.
It seems like Massive is finally doing it. There’s no other game that offers a mixup of such a big pool of gear sets and also allows the players to tweak their overall build by equipping a normal or item of a lower quality. So it’s either the full set you’re playing and dedicated to, or it’s a mixup which was favored by lots of players in The Division. Those tweaked builds were always the most broken builds in the game. Now, we’re going to see a true rivalry in The Division, where co-oping is finally going to matter in every single perspective of the PVP environment.
