Diablo 4, the highly anticipated action RPG from Blizzard Entertainment, is preparing for a Server Slam BETA event from May 12 to May 14. Following the massively successful open beta in March, the biggest in the series’ history, fans have been eager for more opportunities to explore the world of Sanctuary. Blizzard has released a short new trailer, offering a glimpse of what the Server Slam event has in store for players.
The Server Slam will feature the same content as the recent open beta but with key differences. First and foremost, Blizzard has made several improvements to the game based on player feedback from the beta, so that returning players can expect a more refined experience during the event.
One of the highlights of the Server Slam is the increased frequency of encounters with Ashava, the World Boss. This will give players more opportunities to test their skills against this formidable foe and experience the epic battles hallmark of the Diablo series. Participating in the Server Slam event will also grant players access to exclusive rewards. Some of the ones included can be found in the trailer embedded above.
It is important to note that any progress made during the Server Slam event will not carry over for full release. Diablo 4 is already proving to be a commercial success, with Activision Blizzard noting that pre-sales have been strong since the game’s release. Given the series’ dedicated fanbase and high expectations for the latest entry, this comes as little surprise.
Diablo 4 is set to launch on June 6 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
