Diablo 4’s latest hotfix shuts down the portal that kept ruining loot runs
Blizzard also fixed a Nemesis boss lair exploit and said co-op War Plans changes will wait until Season 14.

Diablo 4 hotfix 4 for version 3.0.1 is live now, and Blizzard has already backed away from one of Lord of Hatred‘s roughest additions. In the April 30 hotfix post, the studio said the automatic portal at the end of Pit and Tower runs was meant to be a convenience feature, but it “missed the mark.”
The problem was easy to understand. Players could snag their drops, misclick the new portal, and get sent out of the run before they had a chance to clean up the loot pile. Blizzard has now removed that shortcut, which means players will have to rely on their own exit skills again.
The same update also shuts down a Nemesis boss lair exploit that let groups keep farming by swapping difficulties back and forth. Blizzard also fixed a co-op quest blocker tied to The Soil, The Seed, The Fruit.
War Plans is still the part Blizzard has not fully sorted out. Players who jump in to help a friend on a node now receive a rewards cache and the full 100% meta progression for that activity, after the studio briefly had that progression payout lower. The larger party-play changes are still planned for a later update.
In a separate forum thread, Blizzard community manager Lyricana said the team plans to keep working on co-op and party play. The current idea is to let parties vote to reroll all of their boards so they line up, and that reroll will cost Marks of El’Druin. Blizzard says that update is not due until the start of Season 14.
For now, the portal problem is gone and a couple of other rough edges have been cleaned up. Share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
