Diablo 4 just got a small but essential patch that fixes some annoying bugs, especially the Horadric Tomes not dropping as they should. This update, known as patch 1.92/1.092, also tackles quest tracking glitches and problems in Escalating Nightmares. If you play on console, you’ll see your game version show as build 2.33 after downloading it.
It’s a minor patch, sure, but some of these fixes matter a lot for smoother gameplay. Like, how frustrating is it when a quest suddenly stops tracking or a key item doesn’t drop? Blizzard’s taken care of those issues and a bunch more.
Here’s what got fixed in patch 1.92/1.092
Bug Fixes:
- Horadric Tomes now drop reliably when expected.
- Escalating Nightmares’ Vile Hive dungeon appropriately escalates after defeating the Agony boss in a Horadric Strongroom.
- Quests that were randomly stopped from tracking should now keep tracking correctly.
- Druid’s Wolves attacks correctly benefit from Aspect of the Alpha and Lust for Carnage Paragon Node when Storm’s Companion is equipped.
There was also a server-side patch in late July that addressed Vessel of Hatred and other gameplay issues.
Vessel of Hatred Fix:
- Kirma in Kichuk Stronghold can no longer be lured outside the boss area.
Base Game Fixes:
Season of Sins of the Horadrim:
- Progression for Wisdom’s Chosen Seasonal Quest won’t get blocked if Bandit’s Scrawl drops.
- Torn Scroll quest item in The Priestess Horadrim Quest can now be removed from inventory properly.
- Prevented socketing a Horadric Jewel into a non-jewelry item if it already has a socketed item.
- Claiming Season Journey rewards won’t fail when multiple chapter rewards are available.
Gameplay Fixes:
- Endurant Faith unique gloves no longer trigger Lucky Hit effects on the player themselves.
- Echo of Lilith’s first phase won’t get stuck if her health drops too fast.
- Guardian’s Lair in The Pit is easier to reach under certain conditions.
Dungeons and Events Fixes:
- Warmaster in Maugan’s Works no longer spawns in a Strongroom.
- Strongrooms can now be exited even if the boss isn’t defeated.
- Sunken Library dungeon requires defeating the boss to complete properly.
- Horadric Reward Cache now reliably rewards players after completing Escalating Nightmare Dungeon with Equipment Delve affix.
- Cultist Horde Escalation affix correctly applies Bonus Life to monsters.
- Lesser Aegis Escalation affix applies the correct barrier value to monsters.
- Escalating Nightmare continues properly if Strongroom and base dungeon share the same boss.
- The Butcher no longer gets stuck on Horadric Chests.
- Animus won’t disappear if too many items are on the ground.
- No more missing reward chests after completing Ravenous Soul mastery event.
- Completing Last Stand event inside a Strongroom won’t accidentally complete a Dungeon.
