This is probably the biggest news regarding Blizzard’s upcoming RPG hack and slash, Diablo 2: Resurrected. Diablo 2 Resurrected will support legacy saves, which means that old Diablo 2 saves will be able to load. Diablo 2: Resurrected was first discovered during BlizzConline, even though there have been numerous rumors about it. Now, let’s dive deeper into the legacy saves memoir.
Diablo 2, the once most anticipated game, will get its reliving moments with this new feature. In a recent interview with IGN Middle East, Diablo 2: Resurrected’s Game Producer, Matthew Cederquist, stated that support for older mods is also one of the features coming to the game and reminded everyone to keep their old save files.
“Yes! Keep your old save files. Back when we were working on [the remaster], we wondered if the old save files would work, so we kind of shoved it in, and it worked! So yes, your local singleplayer save files will carry over.”
Furthermore, Diablo 2: Resurrected will also include a feature that will allow players to toggle between the modernized and old graphics experience. But having the opportunity to load a character that you haven’t played on for years, it’s somewhat mind-boggling.
Diablo 2: Resurrected will arrive later this year on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PS4, and the handheld Nintendo Switch.
