Bungie will take Destiny 2 offline on August 19 for routine maintenance and to deliver patch 9.0.0.7 across all platforms. This downtime matters because it will temporarily disable sign-on and integration features, and players can expect the usual bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.
Here’s the schedule for the downtime and update rollout:
Destiny 2 Downtime for August 19 Will Usher in a New Update
6:00 AM PDT (-7 UTC)
Maintenance begins.
Sign-on and game integration features will be unavailable on web, mobile, third-party apps, and the Bungie Store.
Players encountering issues should report them on the #Help forum.
8:35 AM PDT (-7 UTC)
Destiny 2 and all APIs will go offline.
Players will be removed from activities.
Destiny 1 may also be affected.
10:00 AM PDT (-7 UTC)
Patch 9.0.0.7 becomes available on all platforms and regions.
Players can log back into Destiny 2, though queues and sign-on issues may occur due to ongoing background maintenance.
Destiny 2 API will come back online.
Clan features might remain offline until maintenance wraps up.
12:00 PM PDT (-7 UTC)
Maintenance is expected to finish.
Console players with update issues should restart their consoles and try again.
Players should expect mostly bug fixes and gameplay adjustments in this update. With Gamescom Opening Night Live happening later that day, maybe Bungie will sneak in something extra. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.
I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
