Destiny 2 Latest Update for Aug. 19 Complete List of Changes
Activities
The Edge of Fate
- Fixed an issue where “Kepler Gear” kept showing as a reward in the weekly mission tooltip even after the first completion.
- Actual rewards remain unchanged.
- Both weekly missions still drop a high-tier Kepler gear piece once per week on first completion.
- The Time Latch Missions playlist remains the best place to get random higher-tier Kepler gear or The Sieve when active.
- Fixed a rare bug that could block players from progressing through The Edge of Fate campaign.
The Portal
- Fixed a problem where the opening objective in the Caldera Solo Ops activity could be partially skipped.
- Now players must destroy both the Vex shield cubes and the dark matter mounds to progress.
UI/UX
- Solo Ops playlist now lets players return to orbit after finishing without forcing a new activity start.
- Adjusted the visual difficulty icons for combatants and activities:
- “Hard” (sword icon) now shows when enemies are 30 Power above you, up from 10.
- “Very hard” (skull icon) now shows at 50 Power above you, up from 40.
- This is just a visual tweak; actual combat difficulty hasn’t changed.
