Deep Rock Galactic’s Rocktoberfest 2026 Will Bring a New Hat and Double XP
The two-week celebration will begin Sept. 24 at 13:00 CEST with the Freihand Tap Cap, returning cosmetics, cave collectibles, and a decorated Abyss Bar.
Deep Rock Galactic’s Rocktoberfest 2026 celebration will begin Thursday, Sept. 24, at 13:00 CEST and run for two weeks. Miners will be able to earn a new hat, recover previous seasonal cosmetics, and bring home Double XP by collecting beer mugs in the caves. The schedule and rewards were detailed in the game’s Steam announcement.
The Freihand Tap Cap leads the new rewards
Completing the Rocktoberfest Assignment will reward players with the new Freihand Tap Cap. The beer-themed hat leaves both hands free for mining, which is exactly the kind of workplace compromise Management can tolerate.
Players who still need the event’s older cosmetics can also take on the returning “Hunt for Lederhosen” Assignment. Completing it awards a pair of Lederhosen and the Rocktoberfest hats from previous years, giving returning miners another reason to revisit the seasonal missions.
Wurst Stein mugs will grant Double XP
Rocktoberfest will also bring Best Wurst Beer back to the Abyss Bar. During missions, teams can dig up and deposit a Wurst Stein mug to receive Double XP for the entire mission.
The reward applies to the whole team, so finding one mug can benefit everyone in the squad. It also gives miners a reason to search cave sections they might otherwise skip on the way to the drop pod.
The Abyss Bar will get a fall makeover
The Space Rig will take on its seasonal look for the event, with the Abyss Bar decorated with checkered tablecloths, novelty pretzels, autumn colors, and Best Wurst Beer. Rocktoberfest will remain active for two weeks after its Sept. 24 start.
