The latest update for Deadlock dropped on July 29, 2025, and it focuses mainly on the Mid Boss and how Rejuv rewards work. These tweaks might change how you approach fights and team play, especially around reviving and managing resources.
So what exactly changed? Well, the Mid Boss’s health is now fixed at spawn, with a big jump in base HP from 6,725 to 12,500, but the growth rate per level is much slower, dropping from 470 to 200. So the boss feels tougher right off the bat, but doesn’t scale as aggressively. Kind of a curveball, right?
Then there’s the Rejuv reward, which got a full overhaul. Instead of buffing your troopers and reducing respawn time like before, the Mid Boss now drops 3 Rejuv crystals when defeated, 4 for any kills after the first. Claiming one of these crystals gives you an in-place revive after a 3-second delay. If you already have a Rejuv crystal and pick up another, it’ll pass on to an ally nearby, prioritizing those closest first and then those most in need. This could really disrupt how teams handle revives during intense battles.
07-29-2025 Update Patch Notes
- Mid Boss HP is now fixed at spawn time. Base HP increased from 6,725 to 12,500 and growth reduced from 470 to 200.
- Rejuv reward reworked: No longer buffs troopers or reduces respawn time. Instead, upon death, 3 Rejuv crystals drop (4 for subsequent kills).
- Claiming a Rejuv crystal grants an in-place revive after 3 seconds.
- If you already claimed one and pick up another, it passes to an ally, prioritizing closest allies first, then those most in need.
It’s interesting how these changes shift the dynamic. Does making the Mid Boss tougher early on urge more strategic planning before engagement? And the new Rejuv system could mean teams have to think about positioning to take full advantage of those revive crystals. Wow, that might change the pace quite a bit.
