Deadlock’s City Never Sleeps Event Drew 110M Votes, With Nurse Harrow as Its Final Hero
Baba vs. Solomon was the closest matchup, with a vote gap of nearly 0.5%, while just 847 players picked each round's winner.
Deadlock’s City Never Sleeps voting event ended with more than 110 million votes, and Nurse Harrow is the last of the update’s six new heroes to join the roster on Oct. 20. Valve’s Steam announcement shares her kit and the event’s voting results.
Harrow’s abilities mix support for allies with pressure on opponents. Leech Therapy sends leeches after enemies to drain health and energy before returning to her. Wretched Vapors boosts allies, with side effects when the effect wears off. Healing Needles lets her inject medicine into teammates, while Lurking Terrors unleashes the creatures she has stored to send enemies running.
Her release was scheduled for 2 p.m. PDT on Oct. 20, the final slot in the six-hero release sequence. Just 847 players voted in every round and backed each round’s eventual winner. Another 36,236 voted in every round but never picked a winning hero.
The closest matchup was Baba vs. Solomon, decided by a vote gap of nearly 0.5%. A total of 22,194 players voted exclusively for Nurse Harrow, including one player who cast exactly 1,000 votes for her. Valve also said Nurse Harrow voters consistently had a higher win rate than voters for other heroes.
