Dead by Daylight just rolled out a fresh update that brings the eerie world of Five Nights at Freddy’s into its multiplayer horror mix. The update introduces a brand-new killer called The Animatronic, along with a creepy map set inside the infamous Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Fans of both franchises will find plenty to sink their teeth into.

- Power – FAZBEAR’S FRIGHT: The Animatronic throws a Fire Axe that sticks into survivors if it connects, forcing them to remove it before healing. It’s a nasty twist that adds tension to every encounter.

- Each trial spawns 7 Security Doors. Survivors can peek through cameras linked to these doors to scout their surroundings, but with limited battery life.

- Help Wanted: After a generator is damaged and completed, basic attack cooldowns speed up for about 40–60 seconds.
- Phantom Fear: Survivors scream and briefly reveal their aura if they lock eyes with the killer.
- Haywire: Causes exit gate progress to regress (80–100%) and flickering lights as gates near completion.
New Map: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza
- A haunted pizzeria filled with sinister lore and traps, perfect for tense chases and jump scares.
Alongside this content, Behaviour Interactive slipped in various quality-of-life improvements that players seem to appreciate. The result? Steam charts show the game hitting over 105,000 concurrent players at one point – a new high for Dead by Daylight. Currently, the numbers hover around 81,000, but the weekend might just push that figure even higher. Wow, nine years after its 2016 launch, and this game still manages to pull in massive crowds.
