Dead by Daylight’s 10.1.0 Update Will Add a New Gameplay Showcase

The new menu will explain every Killer's Power with stat details, Status Effects, videos, tips, and counterplay advice.

Dead by Daylight will add a Gameplay Showcase menu with update 10.1.0. The feature will explain how every Killer works from both the Killer and Survivor perspectives, giving players a clearer way to learn Powers and find counterplay.

Behaviour Interactive shared the details in an official Steam recap of its July Community Stream. The developer revisited the gameplay segment after audio problems affected that portion of the broadcast last week.

The Gameplay Showcase will include detailed explanations of each Killer’s Power, relevant stat values, Status Effects, videos showing the Power in action, and practical tips. The advice will cover ways to use Powers more effectively while also pointing out opportunities for Survivors to respond.

Players will be able to open the menu from any lobby, including while matchmaking. A new lobby button will provide access, and players can also select the Killer’s Power icon. Killer Power tooltips will receive an accompanying readability pass, with the text presented in a more streamlined format.

The feature will first appear as part of the next PTB. Behaviour Interactive has not announced when that PTB will begin, so more information is still to come.

The full stream recording is available below.

Dead by Daylight players can share their thoughts on the Gameplay Showcase in the comments and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, and Instagram.

Dead by Daylight

Trapped forever in a realm of eldritch evil where even death is not an escape, four determined Survivors face a bloodthirsty Killer in a vicious game of nerve and wits. Pick a side and step into a world of tension and terror with horror gaming's best asymmetrical multiplayer.

Survivors play in third-person and have the advantage of better situational awareness. The Killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey.

The Survivors' goal in each encounter is to escape the Killing Ground without getting caught by the Killer - something that sounds easier than it is, especially when the environment changes every time you play.
