The Dead by Daylight update 8.7.2 brings a bunch of fixes that affect gameplay, audio, characters, and more. It also changes how match outcomes are handled when Survivors abandon in certain situations, which could impact your stats. I was surprised by some of the quirks fixed here, especially the floating tires and weird invisible Demogorgon moments!

- Abandon Option
Changed the match outcome so that if a Survivor leaves while all other Survivors are Dying, it counts as a loss instead of a draw.

- Fixed loud noise notifications showing for Killers when Survivors with Silent Rush Bonus rushed actions.
- Fixed Survivors missing struggle animations when interrupted by The Deathslinger’s harpoon during Vaccine or Spray application.
- The Oni no longer keeps charges after downing a Survivor in Blood Fury state.
- Corrected floating tires in the Wretched Shop map.

Audio
- Corrected wrong sounds on some metal stairs in The Game map.
- Synced The Oni’s cleaning weapon sound effects with animations.
Characters
- Fixed Survivors getting stuck inside pallets when interrupted by The Ghoul’s Kagune Leap.
- Stopped The Ghoul from dashing faster when using the second dash immediately after the first.
- Temporarily fixed Survivors being stuck in animations when dropping pallets during The Ghoul’s grab attack.
- Fixed interaction blocks when The Ghoul was stunned at the same time as his Kagune Leap hit.
- Demogorgon no longer becomes invisible after using Portals.
- Fixed missing Killer Instinct when The Artist’s crow hits a locker with a Survivor inside.
- Nemesis’ Tentacle Strike no longer passes through certain walls and objects.
Environment/Maps
- Fixed a hook spawning in front of a door in The Underground Complex.
- Stopped characters clipping through locker tops in Azarov’s Resting Place and The Temple of Purgation maps.
- Prevented Killers from landing on top of pallets in Father Campbell’s Chapel.
- Fixed flickering ground texture in Dead Dawg Saloon.
- Corrected floor seam in Mount Ormond Resort’s Main Building.
- Blocked walking out of bounds through Exit Gates when using a Gamepad.
Perks
- Entity blocker now appears correctly on generator auras caused by Deja Vu.
- Fixed Camaraderie perk reactivating after it had deactivated.
Quests
- “Earn Bloodpoints” quests now progress properly after Survivors abandon Trials.
- 2v8 “Kill Survivors” quest progresses correctly when Survivors are sacrificed in The Executioner’s Cage of Atonement.
- Fixed issue preventing completion of the “Mad Skills” challenge.
UI
- Fixed crashes when previewing certain Rift Pass rewards.
- Improved menu stability.
- Fixed crashes when displaying many completed quests.
- Added missing Pin/Unpin Quest sound effect.
- Gamepad cursor on PC no longer disappears in the Quests menu, replaced by mouse cursor.
- Infinity sign now shows correctly on reward alerts when reaching infinite Rift Pass tier.
There are quite a few fixes here that tidy up some odd visual and gameplay bugs. I gotta admit, seeing the Demogorgon invisibility fix made me chuckle—how did that even happen?
