With DayZ’s update 1.19, Bohemia Interactive has included a new weird zombie AI that looks like a mummy. These zombies are wrapped in bandages and have a wholly distinct and glowing look at night. It looks like they have a glow stick attached to them.
What’s unique about these new zombies is that they’re adamant to kill. It takes around 40 hits with a cold weapon or around 30 firearm shots to take them down. We have encountered them multiple times and have given up considering the situation we were in. Their open-field encounter would result in a couple of bleeds, as their attacks are much stronger than the ordinary ones.
Another beneficial factor about these zombies is that while they are tough to kill, their elimination is quite rewarding. They drop excellent loot, as depicted in the video below.
