Day One Launches on Xbox Game Pass is a “Risk-Averse” Strategy

Xbox Game Pass has so far been a superior service to all the video game fans across the globe, and it’s likely to increase its rep in the future. Recently, analysts weighed on the MLB The Show 21 deal which has appeared on the Xbox Game Pass as a fresh entry, and it’s coming from the rows of Sony. Tons of more titles are estimated to arrive on the Xbox Game Pass as day one launches.

The most recent titles have been Outriders and MLB The Show 21. Both of those have hit Xbox Game Pass on day one and have become accessible to those who want to have a variety of games just for a small subscription fee, rather than purchasing the whole game. In a recent interview with Inverse, Ampere Analysis Research Director Piers Harding-Rolls discovered both sides’ perspectives and their pros and cons.

“From MLB’s point of view, this makes commercial sense as it opens up the content to a lot more players, especially in the US, but also keeps the established studio working on the game.”

Furthermore, he constructed the day one Xbox Game Pass launches an “increasingly risk-averse strategy.” “For some titles, launching day one into Game Pass is an increasingly risk-averse strategy. It secures a payment upfront, offers an engaged audience of over 18 million subscribers that can still be monetized through in-game spending, and there is the flexibility of removing the title to boost premium sales at a later date if required.” Harding-Rolls says.

Basically, Microsoft is investing in Xbox Game Pass by paying a large chunk of money for bringing titles to their respective Xbox Game Pass service and will most likely continue at the same pace in the near future. It is also proven to help gamers across the globe reach some of the renowned AAA titles basically for free. One of the upcoming ones could also be Battlefield 6 due to the partnership with EA Play.
