Datamines suggest Battlefield 6 is developing naval warfare content

Insider Gaming’s datamine points to Jet Skis and RHIBs in Battlefield 6 multiplayer files, while developers acknowledge naval requests.

Datamined files obtained by Insider Gaming indicate that naval warfare content may be in development for Battlefield 6, with entries referencing Jet Skis and RHIBs appearing inside the game’s multiplayer files. The strings, tied to the multiplayer build, read as follows:

Game/GlacierMP/Kits/Vehicle_Neutral_Boat_JetSki
Game/GlacierMP/Kits/Vehicle_Neutral_Boat_RHIB

Glacier is the internal codename for Battlefield 6, and MP stands for multiplayer, so these lines suggest someone on the project has at least sketched out waterborne vehicles. Our review of Battlefield 6 gave the game a score of 9/10, noting a campaign that left something to be desired while praising the core multiplayer loop.

There’s no timetable attached to the datamined entries, and Season 1 content doesn’t look built around huge ocean maps, so if naval combat arrives, it could come later in the post-launch roadmap. Recently, we reported that EA Dice has rolled out a fix for bullets not registering in Battlefield 6, suggesting that live-support work is ongoing alongside content planning.
