Hotfix #96-1 for Dark and Darker brings a batch of bug fixes and balance tweaks from developer IRONMACE, touching bosses, weapons, and the Druid – Penguin. Some boss and environmental bugs were fixed, a couple of weapons had their numbers adjusted, and Penguin got noticeably nerfed in a few spots.

IRONMACE
Bugfixes:
- Changed the reward room so that rewards spawn only after defeating the Ancient Stingray boss.
- Fixed an issue where the Frost Wyvern boss could not be damaged within its spawn area.
- Fixed an issue where the Wet effect could be applied underwater by Water Cannon, Water Bolt, and similar skills.
- Removed a Skeleton Archer Corpse that was incorrectly placed on Skull Island.
- Falchion of Honor: Weapon Damage decreased by 2.
- Frost Lantern Shield: Weapon Damage increased by 3 and Movement Speed penalty changed from -6 to -8.
Balance Updates:
Druid – Penguin
- Body Size increased by 20%.
- Movement speed bonus in water slightly reduced.
- Water Cannon range reduced from 700 to 500.
- Dash movement speed bonus reduced from 30% to 15%.
- Dash duration reduced from 6 sec to 3 sec.
- Bite damage reduced from 20 to 15.
Faustian Bargain – Monsters
- Goblin Warrior: Attack speed reduced and combo attack removed.
- Skeleton Archer: Attack speed slightly increased and Rapid Fire attack removed.
If you play Penguin, expect it to feel bulkier but less slippery in water, and its dash and bite are toned down. Boss and environmental fixes should cut down on a few annoying soft locks and underwater oddities, which is always welcome.
