Modder GPC-Surgeon has released V4 of the Ultra Cinematic Next-Gen mod for Cyberpunk 2077. The update bundles a new weather system, expanded camera controls, and a set of film-style image profiles designed for path-traced screenshots and machinima.
The mod aims to push Cyberpunk toward a movie-like presentation. Key additions in V4 include a custom weather controller that boosts volumetric fog and cloud quality, handcrafted transitions for atmosphere, and presets that tune mood and lighting. The author also highlights compatibility with Path Tracing for higher-fidelity results.
On the post-processing side, V4 adds a number of film features: first-person camera shake for bodycam realism, a VCR filter, HDR+ color processing, a night vision mode, sepia and 8mm film looks, a comic book mode, and black-and-white profiles. Players can toggle HUD and access a unified GPC menu to mix effects.
Performance will vary depending on your rig and whether you use Path Tracing. The mod is presented as a full cinematic toolkit rather than a simple ReShade preset, so expect more CPU and GPU work when you enable heavy weather or PT-based profiles. Note that Ultra Cinematic V4 is a paid mod hosted on Patreon. If you want to see the mod in action before paying, there is a full feature showcase video available below:
You can get the mod on Patreon: GPC-Surgeon Ultra Cinematic V4 on Patreon. If you prefer free tweaks, there are community mods that improve Path Tracing performance or adjust ray-traced reflections without cost, and those remain good options for players who want visual upgrades without paid content.
