Cyberpunk 2077

Everyone’s whirling around Cyberpunk 2077 and closing gaps to find more and more info. Luckily for us all, it appears that the developers have discovered a new segment of the game’s character progression system and that in a video.

Thanks to Miles Tost, a designer on Cyberpunk 2077, we now know that some sort of mastery system will be kicking in as you progress throughout the game. Each weapon encounter or anything else you do will have a proficiency assigned to it.

Behind that, there will be hidden perks that will be upgraded slowly, such as accuracy, reloading speed, but also the animation when, let’s say, performing a mag reload. For example, the reloading animation will get much smoother as you progress throughout the game by gaining knowledge in a particular weapon. Interesting enough, there will also be weapon handling and will be a part of the game character progression system.

Take a look at Miles Tost’s explanation below, in which he describes how exactly the game’s character progression (a sort of a weapon mastery system) will kick-off.

This may also pull another string to the story. Some of the encounters may require the player to learn his weapon appropriately before anticipating them. This will diversify the gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077 even further, leading to a more intriguing content.

What else could be done? We’ll surely find out as time goes by, so stay tuned for more info!
