According to a South Korean news outlet, Crimson Desert, the open-world action game from Pearl Abyss, might finally have a release date. The report claims the game is will launch on November 2, 2025, although this date is described as tentative while the game nears completion.
It’s worth treating this with caution for now. For one, November 2 falls on a Sunday, an unusual day for a major game release. That makes me wonder if the date might shift before the official announcement.
What We Know So Far
Crimson Desert has been on the radar for a long while. Pearl Abyss has shared trailers and updates at significant events, and it was playable at the recent Summer Game Fest in Los Angeles. Yet, a firm release date has stayed elusive.
The South Korean outlet MTN published an ‘exclusive’ report stating that the game targets a November 2, 2025, release. They mentioned some speculation about a possible delay into 2026 but said the launch will stick to the fourth quarter of 2025. The report also noted that with GTA 6 postponed, Crimson Desert might grab some attention for Game of the Year.
“Pearl Abyss’ highly expected ‘Crimson Desert’ is scheduled to be released on November 2nd. Some speculated that the release could be pushed back to 2026, but it will be released as originally planned in the fourth quarter of this year. The release of ‘GTA6’ was postponed to next year, so attention is focused on whether ‘Crimson Desert’ will be able to take the GOTY (Game of the Year) award.”
Are you excited about Crimson Desert? Do you think it could stand out without GTA 6 launching this year?
