Mega Kangaskhan is a Normal-type Mega Raid boss. The best counters are Fighting-type Pokémon due to its double weakness to that type. You cannot catch Kangaskhan in its mega-evolved form from the raid. The Mega Raid boss is always catchable in its base form, so the CP ranges listed are for a regular Kangaskhan.
Kangaskhan can be caught with the following CP values:
- 2112 – 2200 CP without weather boost
- 2640 – 2750 CP with Partly Cloudy weather boost
Depending on your levels and counters, it is recommended to have 3-5 Trainers who are high level, or more if your teams are not the best. This guide covers defeating this Motherly Mega, including its best stats, moves, and CP range. It can also appear shiny!

How to Get Mega Kangaskhan
To Mega Evolve Kangaskhan, you need 200 Mega Energy for the initial evolution. After Mega Evolving a Pokémon for the first time, Mega Energy is no longer required for that Pokémon to Mega Evolve again. Instead, the Pokémon becomes exhausted and must rest before Mega Evolving again.

Mega Kangaskhan is a popular raid boss as a regional exclusive. Its stats are not outstanding, and as a Normal type, it is less versatile than many other Mega Pokémon, but it remains a charming choice.
All the best, trainers!
