Counter-Strike 2, developed and published by Valve, received a new update that addresses audio problems. The patch fixes a specific issue that caused sound dropouts while playing on Agency, stabilizing in-match audio and preventing abrupt silence that disrupted gunfights and comms for some players.
Players reported the issue across modes but it was most common on Agency. Player voice and ambient channels were affected in certain matches, producing abrupt silence mid-round, which in competitive scenarios could change round outcomes and frustrated teams relying on audio cues for trades and pushes. The update reduces those interruptions and restores expected audio behavior in affected situations. The update should be a small download.
