In a recent update for CS2, Valve has made significant changes to the matchmaking system. Previously, you might have been paired with or against players far above or below your skill level. Now, the game aims to make matches where the skill gap between teams is smaller.
However, there’s a trade-off: be prepared to wait a bit longer in the queue. While this might make the game more balanced, it does mean that players may find themselves spending more time waiting for the perfect match.
Below you can find the full patch notes for October 10.
CS2 Patch Notes for October 10
[ MATCHMAKING ]
- Matches will now be made with smaller rating differences between the teams at the expense of longer queue times.
[ Premier ]
- Relegation and Promotion matches will only occur at color boundaries, i.e. every 5000 CS Rating points.
- Increased possible CS Rating win/loss amounts to move players faster after calibration.
