Core Keeper’s September Recap Celebrates 1.3 Launch, Tokyo Game Show and New Music
The update launched September 21, while the month also brought a Tokyo Game Show booth, Soundtrack Volume 3 and new community artwork.

Core Keeper‘s September recap brings together the 1.3 launch, a Tokyo Game Show booth, fresh soundtrack tracks and player-made Orex art. The team gathered the month’s highlights in its September community wrap-up.
Riders of the Underground launched September 21 with rideable mounts, the Hookshot, a new Moss sub-biome, new pets and changes to magic and summoning. Those additions were previewed earlier in the month in the 1.3 update announcement. The team also updated the Explorer’s Guide with Orex illustrations.
Attendees at the Core Keeper booth at Tokyo Game Show got to try the update before launch. The team also brought merchandise and activities, along with a giant inflatable Caveling. CEO Fredrik met fans and signed autographs during the event.

Volume 3 of the soundtrack arrived in September with 21 tracks, including symphonic and string quartet versions of familiar instrumentals and early concept music created by Fredrik Präntare. It’s available on Spotify.
The merchandise range now includes two hoodies featuring art by Chutipa, the artist behind the 1.3 key art, and an Embertail T-shirt designed by Owlunae. Each design comes in several colors through the Core Keeper store.

Gameplay Lead Alex discussed 1.3 and the community in a Big Break Showcase interview. The team also shared short behind-the-scenes clips about Saddles, Orex cattle and the Moss sub-biome.
Community art put the new cattle in the spotlight, too. Lem drew an Explorer alongside an Orex, while Owlunae updated her cattle color reference to include the new variants.

The recap also poked fun at a strange run of social posts from September 1 to 5 featuring a character called Mr Chicken, jokingly asking whether the community manager should be fired.
