Core Keeper – CK 1.1.2.7 Hotfix Addresses Some Post-Unity Crashes

Core Keeper has a small hotfix out on Steam: CK 1.1.2.7 targets several crash triggers that appeared after the game’s Unity 6 engine upgrade in 1.1.2.6. The changes are based largely on player reports and may not cover every crash source, so keep testing and report any persisting issues on the developer’s social channels.

This is not a huge gameplay patch, it is a stability pass – the kind of behind-the-scenes work that keeps worlds from falling apart when you try to save them. The key fixes focus on memory handling and a quitting crash specific to the Microsoft Store build.

What was addressed

  • Potential crashes caused by memory being deallocated too early when preparing to save the world.
  • A race condition that could lead to memory being accessed after it had been deallocated.
  • [Microsoft Store] A crash that could occur while quitting the game.
