CONTROL Resonant now has its final PC system requirements, with separate targets for standard rendering, Ray Tracing, and Path Tracing. The detailed breakdown gives players a clearer way to compare their hardware before Remedy Entertainment’s sequel arrives. The Steam announcement lists the individual hardware targets and the performance goals attached to each graphics mode.
PC requirements by graphics mode
The minimum target is 1080p at 30 frames per second on Low settings with FSR Quality. The recommended setup moves to 1440p at 60 frames per second on Medium settings with DLSS or FSR Balanced.
For standard rendering at 4K and 60 frames per second on High settings, players will need an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB of RAM, and either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. DLSS or FSR Performance mode is part of that target.
Ray Tracing starts with an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB of RAM, and one of three graphics cards, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super, AMD Radeon RX 6600, or Intel Arc A580.
The recommended Ray Tracing target raises the GPU requirement to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or AMD Radeon 9070. That setup pairs the same Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU tier with 16GB of RAM, targeting 1440p at 60 frames per second on Medium settings with Medium Ray Tracing and DLSS or FSR Balanced.
Path Tracing uses the same CPU and memory target as the recommended Ray Tracing setup, but requires an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 for 4K at 60 frames per second. DLSS Performance mode will be required to reach that frame rate.
CONTROL Resonant is scheduled to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 24, 2026. The game has also been described as offering a roughly 30-hour campaign, with full completion potentially taking close to 50 hours.
