Activision and Sledgehammer should both consider whether are they are going to make the maps bigger, better and more suitable for snipers or they are going to stick to the same map design and keep them small and dynamic.
From what we had experienced throughout the PC Open Beta, it feels like Sledgehammer Studios pinched down the sniper role by far. Playing dozens of games and asking the players about their Sniper’s experience in Call of Duty: WWII, they were kind of disappointed.
I mean, even if you try to replicate something like BF1 or at least achieve something similar, you need to add a bit of joy to the Snipers role. Feeling short, Sledgehammer Games should definitely consider their move before the full Call of Duty: WWII launch. I wouldn’t deny the adrenaline and neverending type of gameplay which fulfills players with a lot of satisfaction, but the Sniper role and the Ghillie suits seem quite off the mark.
Otherwise, generally speaking, the different Divisions and Weapon Upgrades are the reason that ignites players to play more. This is also one of the reasons I do not participate any Beta from the beginning to the end.
Back to the main Subject, having a ghillie suit in the game should add a purpose of wearing it, while in this case there’s no reason to wear it at all. You’re just another type of a player which can be seen in a close fight or whatsoever. You get my point. It’s just pointless to have them included in the game when there are no proper maps which suit the Mountain Division.
Following Sledgehammer’s press and interviews, new maps should come as a follow-up after the full launch or together with it.
