A Reddit user has just discovered the upcoming Black Ops Cold War’s file size on the Xbox Series X. It appears that the installation size is bigger than on the PC, with around 190GB of file size. According to his discovery, Black Ops Cold War’s file size on the Xbox Series X is exactly 187.9 GB.
Xbox Series X users have the opportunity to opt-in or out of special high-resolution textures, which will download only the core version of the game. The image posted and the Reddit Thread can be found below:
After Infinity Ward’s MW and Warzone took up a huge chunk of HDD space, Treyarch has found a way to counter that and offer the users to choose between different packs and HD textures. The HD textures usually apply to those who want to enjoy the game at 4K resolution, which is obviously the majority of Xbox Series X owners.
If most of the games consist of a big chunk of data, such as Black Ops Cold War, there will be space for only 3-4 games to install on your brand new Xbox Series X because it comes with 1TB HDD. Getting extra storage is also available, but at a cost. Being this early in the era of the next-gen console, it’s definitely unknown if owners are going to need extra space.
