Right before the new zombie apocalypse arrives and plows our beloved Earth, Black Ops Cold War will assert a couple of tweaks for the greater good. During the Cold War beta, there have been a couple of unique characteristics that seemed slightly overpowered. A rare example that in other games is found less… annoying should I say.
For example, during the multiplayer beta, we felt that the sliding is a lot more fluid but extremely fast and unnatural compared to its predecessor. It would represent a much easier scenario for the one sliding against the one anticipating the fight standing still. For that reason, Treyarch is prepared to settle down the score and tinker with those values before launch.
Aside from that, there will be multiple other nerfs but also additions coming to the game. Another section that’s going to be balanced is the scorestreaks one, tinkering the difference between low and high tier scorestreaks and their effectiveness and impact on the game. This would represent a much more exciting gameplay and would alleviate the META gameplay. Honestly, I am tired of META players as they give you no room but to do the same yourself.
Mantling or vaulting is another feature that will be tweaked. Unlike the sliding, this one felt a bit slow. Mantling will be faster, and similar to the previous Black Ops, we may even get an auto-mantling option. More about that when the game comes out. New game modes are also expected to arrive, as well as new multiplayer maps. More about that once the game releases.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War comes out tomorrow, November 13, with a slight chance for the servers to be available at midnight.
