Set photos from Clayface show a full map of Gotham and were spotted on set in Liverpool on September 2, 2025. The images, shared on social media, show named locations and memorials that point toward connections with the wider DC Studios cinematic universe.
The map itself lists familiar sites such as Wayne Manor, Ace Chemicals and the Iceberg Lounge, each placed with clear street-level detail. It also includes two nods to Batman’s creators, labeled Kane Memorial Bridge and Finger Memorial Park, honoring Bob Kane and Bill Finger. The Iceberg Lounge appears on Gotham’s east side, matching its placement in The Batman, which keeps Robert Pattinson crossovers in conversation. Those geographic echoes suggest the production is treating Gotham as a continuous, lived-in setting rather than an isolated backdrop.
Tom Rhys Harries stars as the title character, with Naomi Ackie also listed among the cast and James Watkins directing. The project is part of DCU Chapter One, which frames it as an early Batman-area entry under James Gunn and Peter Safran. Gunn has described the film as body horror and said it will “likely” receive an R rating, a tone that lines up with the set’s darker landmarks. Clayface is scheduled to hit cinemas on September 11, 2026, placing it among the next wave of DCU releases.
