Patch 1.4.2f1 for Cities: Skylines 2 is live and brings a full bicycle suite to the base game alongside a batch of stability and traffic fixes. The update adds bikes, e-scooters, dedicated lanes and parking, new assets and tweaks aimed at easing pedestrian congestion after the prior update.
The developer also linked a developer diary on the Paradox forum that explains the design choices behind the bike systems and how they should interact with pedestrian and vehicle flows. Players will find a new Bicycles Info View and two district policies to manage cycling across neighborhoods. - Leveling resource delivery updates and fixes:
- The building leveling up resource delivery will now be handled by the industrial companies, resource storage warehouse, and outside connections.
- The vehicle will deliver the resource to multiple targets by carrying as many resources as possible when dispatched from the resource owner, and will accept new resource requests during the delivery trip. This change should help reduce the traffic in big cities that have plenty of resource requests at the same time.
- Leveling building icon added to Info View to inform which houses are waiting for resources
- Delivery vans that are transporting materials for building upgrades will now prioritize resources from the city when there is a surplus of resources within the city.
- Multiple fixes to tourism, City Attractiveness, and Lodging.

Players should expect bicycles to show up in citizen behavior and traffic calculations right away. The new parking, path and lane assets give mayors options to route cyclists away from crowded sidewalks and busy roads. Test rides and city adjustments will probably be needed to balance bike flows against buses, trams and freight traffic.
