CI Games released the gameplay trailer for Lords of the Fallen 2 during The Game Awards 2025. The footage lays out the sequel’s dark-fantasy setting where the realms of the living and the dead are colliding, and it foregrounds the combat systems players will face when the game arrives in 2026.
The trailer moves from moonlit citadels to time-worn temples and shows encounters with both humanoid foes and towering monsters. Combat looks brisk and aggressive for a Soulslike, with options for melee, ranged, and magic builds, plus brutal finishers after key fights.
Design cues in the trailer emphasize risk on every step. Areas shift between realms, and environmental variety supports different approaches to encounters and boss fights. CI Games has positioned the game around difficult encounters where positioning, timing, and build choice matter. CI Games previously distanced itself from a TGA statue tease and said it hopes whatever the installation points to belongs to another studio; Console PC Gaming covered that statement in detail. The sequel was first shown at Gamescom Opening Night Live earlier in 2025.
Wishlist and platform details were referenced in the trailer’s description for PS5, and CI Games lists a general 2026 release window for the title.
