Tale of Immortal is an open-world RPG based around Chinese mythology that recently got released on Steam in Early Access. The game is only available in simplified Chinese, so it instantly became a hit in China, reaching 1.8 Million sales in early access.
The developers revealed that they regret not making the game localized for others earlier:
We regret for not having localized versions of the game sooner, which we now know some of our non-Chinese speaking users had difficult times experiencing the game. (Like having to use translation Apps :)),
Tale of Immortal is an open-world sandbox game based on Chinese mythology and cultivation. You will grow to become immortal, conquer the beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Season, make your choices carefully and grasp your own destiny.
With a background based around ancient Chinese myths and stories, players will have a variety of interactive options with scenes and in-game NPCs, which will affect the storyline of the game and transform the game world.
