Letten and A Bed of Thorns

Geralt’s journey through the DLC includes a horseback ride across Letten, a new area connected to fan-favorite character Dandelion. The footage also features cutscenes and combat from A Bed of Thorns, the quest that will introduce players to the expansion.

One of those cutscenes shows Geralt at dinner with several new characters, offering an early glimpse at the story that will accompany the added gameplay. The showcased footage comes from the PS5 version of The Witcher 3.

The presentation is marked with the warning, “Work in progress – Does not represent the final look of the game.” Even so, the footage offers an early look at the visual direction for the remaster and the DLC’s environments.

Songs of the Past is being developed by Fools Theory and is planned to launch for the PS5 version of The Witcher 3 in 2027. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be available as a free upgrade on September 29, 2026. Players with physical copies of The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch 2 can also upgrade to the remaster at no cost. The September 29 date and free-upgrade plan were outlined in our release-date coverage.
