Capcom’s Latest Sales Report Puts Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata in the Spotlight

Pragmata passed 2.5 million copies, while Resident Evil Requiem moved beyond 8 million units by the end of June 2026.

Capcom’s first-quarter results for the current financial year showed another year-on-year increase in both sales and operating profit, helped by Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and continued purchases of older games.

The quarter covered April 1 through June 30, 2026. Capcom recorded net sales of ¥70.41 billion ($430 million), up 54.7% from the same period a year earlier. Operating profit reached ¥41.05 billion ($250 million), an increase of 66.9% year-on-year.

Game sales were the main source of that growth. Capcom sold 23.81 million units during the quarter, compared with 14.16 million units during the same period last year.

Resident Evil Requiem passes 8 million sales

Resident Evil Requiem passed 8 million units in cumulative sales, giving Capcom another major result from its long-running horror series. The company said the franchise continued to reach a broad audience worldwide, with price reductions also helping older entries sell more copies.

Five other Resident Evil games sold at least 1 million copies during the quarter. Their lifetime totals now include:

  • Resident Evil 2 remake: 19.75 million
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard: 18.41 million
  • Resident Evil 4 remake: 16.04 million
  • Resident Evil Village: 15.86 million
  • Resident Evil 3 remake: 14.52 million

The results add to the momentum around Requiem, which has also received attention for its two playable leads and its mix of horror and action. Players looking at the game’s options can find a breakdown of Resident Evil Requiem’s difficulty settings.

Pragmata reaches 2.5 million units

Capcom also reported that its new intellectual property Pragmata passed 2.5 million units worldwide after its launch. The company credited the game’s reception and promotional work that helped build awareness around the title.

Devil May Cry 5 continued to sell years after its original release, moving 1.29 million copies during the quarter. That brought its lifetime total to 14.24 million units. Capcom connected the latest sales with the second season of the Devil May Cry anime series, which was airing on Netflix.

Capcom keeps its full-year forecast

Capcom left its forecast for the financial year ending in March 2027 unchanged. The company still expects net sales of ¥210 billion ($1.28 billion), which would be a 7.5% year-on-year increase, along with operating profit of ¥83 billion ($506 million), up 10.2%.

With Requiem already above 8 million sales and Pragmata adding a strong result of its own, Capcom’s latest quarter gave the publisher another solid set of numbers to build on. Tell us what you think about the company’s performance in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
