Capcom just dropped fresh info about PRAGMATA, their upcoming sci-fi adventure set on a futuristic Moon. It’s slated for a 2026 release on PC, and the new details give us a closer look at the story, combat, and gameplay features. I’m kinda intrigued by the setting and the combat mechanics, so let’s get into it!
The game puts you in the shoes of Hugh Williams, who’s part of a team sent to check out a lunar research facility that suddenly lost contact. After a lunar quake, Hugh gets separated from his team. When he wakes up, he’s saved by an android girl named Diana. Together, you’ll have to find your way back to Earth. Sounds like a tense setup, right?
Combat in PRAGMATA isn’t your usual run-and-gun. You have to break enemy armor first, and that’s where Diana’s special powers come in handy, she can destroy that armor so Hugh can hit their weak spots and deal real damage. There are various weapons and robot enemies to face, plus puzzles to solve using both characters’ distinct abilities. The team hasn’t shared PC system requirements yet, but I’m hoping it won’t be too demanding.
Capcom confirmed PRAGMATA will be playable at Gamescom 2025, where a special demo will be available. If you’re attending, that’s your chance to check it out early. The developers also mentioned ray tracing support back in 2024, but it’s unclear if that’s still planned.
Below you’ll find the full Capcom Spotlight from June 26, 2025, where the gameplay footage starts at 0:52. It’s worth a watch if you want a deeper look at the game’s world and mechanics.
What do you think about the lunar setting and combat system? Could this be the next sci-fi game to watch? I’m curious to hear your thoughts, so drop a comment below!
