Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and its multiplayer launch with a tidy toolbox, 30 weapons and 27 bits of equipment for Operators to mess around with. The spread covers everything from full-auto assault rifles and high-RPM SMGs to bolt-action snipers and deployable field upgrades.
30 launch weapons split into 23 primaries, five secondaries, and two melees. Equipment breaks down into nine tacticals, eight lethals, and 10 field upgrades. Those counts matter because they shape early meta options and what players will be unlocking across the first few levels. Weapons cover the usual Call of Duty toolbox, with a mix of archetypes and a few twists. A couple of highlights to look for on day one:
- M15 MOD 0 – Starter assault rifle at level 1, described as well-rounded for power, handling, and accuracy.
- Ryden 45K – Level 1 SMG built for close-quarters balance, useful for new players wanting a reliable run-and-gun option.
- VS Recon – Bolt-action sniper available at level 1 for those who prefer one-shot playstyles.
- MK.78 – LMG at level 1 with high damage and ammo count, ideal for holding sightlines.
There are also burst and multi-round options across classes, the X9 Maverick three-round burst AR and the M8A1 four-round burst marksman rifle are two examples, which will reward disciplined fire and recoil control. The equipment list is a proper toolbox. Tactical choices include the Stun Grenade and EMP Grenade at level 1, while the Hunter Bot and Smoke arrive later as situational picks. Field upgrades mix utility and denial – Assault Pack for resupplies, Trophy System for countering explosives, and Active Camo unlocked at higher levels for stealth bursts.
On the lethal side, you get everything from classic frags to specialty options like the Combat Axe and Point Turret, plus deployables such as remote-detonated C4 and cluster grenades for area denial. Expect the level 1 pool to dominate early playlists: the M15 MOD 0, Ryden 45K, MK.78, and VS Recon give players solid choices without needing to grind for the big unlocks. As players climb the ranks, higher-tier weapons with unique mechanics – grenade launchers, burst-snipers, and high-recoil high-damage guns – will mix up engagements and influence class builds.
