Borderlands: Dead ECHOs Episode 8 Sends Watts and Junie to Eden-6

The weekly scripted podcast moves the pair from Pandora toward Eden-6 aboard a cramped flight full of strange passengers and dark comedy.

Watts and Junie are leaving Pandora behind, but their trip to Eden-6 is anything but comfortable. Borderlands: Dead ECHOs Episode 8 sends the scam squad into the unfriendly space skies, where a cramped cabin and bizarre passengers add another problem to their escape.

Gearbox’s latest Steam announcement places the pair aboard a hazardous flight while they stay ahead of their enemies. Airline-food jokes, strange eating habits, and a mile-high fight give the chapter its familiar dark-comedy edge, including a buzzaxe battle at 30,000 feet.

After Episode 7’s spaceport escape, the move to Eden-6 keeps Watts and Junie’s dangerous ECHO-brokering operation in motion. The two are still trying to turn stolen secrets into a living while DAHL’s corporate forces and other enemies close in around them.

Borderlands: Dead ECHOs is Gearbox’s first scripted narrative podcast. The limited series follows Watts, a disenchanted DAHL ECHO Operator, and Junie, the stranger who pulls him into a more ambitious version of his secret-selling business. New episodes debut weekly, and Episode 8 is available to hear on YouTube.
