Gearbox used this week’s Kairos roundup to map out a busy stretch for Borderlands 4. The biggest beat is coming on May 28, when Version 1.7 will add a free endgame update built around a repeatable raid fight against Subjugator and Thol the Invincible.
Players will need to finish the main campaign before taking on the new encounter. Gearbox said the update will also bring one new Pearlescent weapon, four Legendary items, five Class Mods, and a new firmware perk called Active Fire.
The new loot list includes Jail-Broken Gatling, Lockjaw, Shammy Kablammy, Flak Cannon, and Collector. Version 1.7 will also add UVHM Level 7 for players who have already pushed the highest Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode tiers.
For the earlier tuning pass, Gearbox pointed players to the May 21 Weekly Update notes. It also linked a DxDiag and MSinfo guide for tickets.
There is more on the calendar, too. The Hunt 2026 is live now and runs through May 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern US time. A new DevCast episode is also coming on May 26 at 9 a.m. PT, with Andrew Reiner, April Johnson, and Lead Designer David Ruiz talking through the raid boss and the Version 1.7 update. That episode will be available on the Borderlands 4 YouTube playlist and on Spotify.
The weekly post also singled out Vault Hunter posters from 4nti-ft4gile, keeping the spotlight on player-made work alongside the developer news.
